Degraded Channel and Riparian Areas
Degraded Channel Structure and Complexity
The project focuses on increasing physical habitat and complexity including alcove enhancements. Adding large wood throughout the alcove would add structure, provide cover. The project would also improve native plant densities and manage invasive species. This stretch of the Clackamas would have been highly complex with multiple channels but over the years the river has been confined to a single channel.
